When Life Rains on You, Find the Rainbow

count your blessings

By, Crystal S. Kauffman

Sometimes, life can seem like it does nothing but rain on you, whether it is your finances or your health. It will seem like a damn hurricane is brewing and your holding on for dear life. However, look past the blinding rain and you will see a beautiful rainbow forming in the distance. Stay focused on that rainbow and don’t give up! Each tiresome step will bring you so much closer to the goal that you have set for yourself.

Never let anyone tell you that you are weak or that you are giving up, because you are not doing things the way that they think you should. Honestly, they cannot see what you see, so keep your eyes wide open and keep focused on saving money or changing the way you eat. Whatever your goal is…go at it hard no matter how much rain comes at you because that rainbow is forming. So, focus and dig deep, because you can do anything that you have set your mind too!

Keep your eyes on the goal or rainbow that is ahead of you, but always be aware of distractions which will try to pull you away from your original goal. More rain will enter your life and you will feel defeated; yet don’t lose heart over the setbacks that you will definitely face. Instead, refocus and find that rainbow once again and keep striving to reach it. Before you know it, you will have reached your goal and the rain will have moved while leaving beautiful flowers in its path.

Know Your Worth

By, Crystal S. Kauffman

Watch how you allow people in your life to treat you, because you are teaching them the ways you accept being treated. If a person uses harsh words with you and you allow it, then they will continue to speak to you in this manner. You show people exactly what is acceptable and what is not acceptable to you, whenever you interact with them.

You are responsible for setting the boundaries whether you do it in person or by any other means of communication. Love and respect yourself, while commanding respect from those who are in your inner circle. Never let them talk down to you or call you names, especially a partner just because they are angry with you.

You should never have to tolerate this behavior from anyone, so put your foot down and walk away from anyone who disrespects you. Know your worth and establish what you will not tolerate from the beginning of the friendship. Never allow someone to slide when they treat you bad because of some excuse that they have given you like: they had a bad day or your being difficult.

You deserve to be treated like a queen or a king, so hold your head up high and walk away from the nonsense that you have chosen not to accept. However, remember you can forgive them but don’t ever let the repeat the behavior that hurt you in the first place. Draw your battle lines and play to win, because only you can control how people treat you.

So,You Had A Bad Day?

Now what do you do with that statement? You have been beaten and bruised by life’s obstacles. Yet, your someone’s inpiration that you never knew was watching you.

Then, suddenly someone actually says,” You’re a Warrior. Be proud!”

Proud of what? You are now a survivor and your whole life changes again. However, you are learning what friends and family are toxic to your life.  Unfortunately, your lifestyle change will make the losers and users in your life scatter like roaches.

You will recognize the toxic persons who are constantly suffocating you with their bad choices. Losing them will sting, and a burn but soon you will replace them with good people who want to see you excel in all that you do.

So, this was a hard week and it has made you feel down on yourself. Right now, you are dancing with anger and it feels hopeless. Maybe, you just want to escape the constant thoughts, which are being repeated on auto loop and is so loud in your head.

Do you ever feel like you are over whelmed by the hell that you personally endured?

Remember that,

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Your mind is not broken yet, so just stop and breathe. Now, focus on your options that right in front of you. Your career and your immediate family. Study until you feel you are ready to became a name in your chosen profession.

Chase that dream every moment you have to yourself and let your immediate family be the center of your life, not those who drain you.

Joy comes with the morning!

Love tore me up inside,
How it lied and broke my heart.
Then I met him and he smiled,
He said hi and made me sigh.

Something was different,
Love has been gone so long.
He asked me, “If I could be his?”
Of course, “I said yes!”

He hugged me and warmed my heart,
He kissed me and it lingered on my lips.
I’m his special girl and he is my love,
We are all one of a kind now!

Ways to Help Some Extraordinary Orphans in Kampala

The Real Life Orphanage is a place in Kampala, Uganda. The orphanage volunteers are trying to help the displaced children in their area. The orphanage needs help with donations or clothing, children toys, coloring items, sport items, and other things children love to do. The orphanage needs cash donations, in order to feed the children and to give the medical care. I have included the orphanages legal paperwork, but feel free to learn more about this special place that is mentoring children.

Sadly, these special children either have lost their parents to death or their parents just cannot care for them anymore. Fortunately, these children have a wonderful set of volunteers who have stepped in to care these amazing and resilient children. This orphanage is actually small and just starting out, so any help you can provide would help these volunteers care for these children. You can create shoe boxes full of personal hygiene items and maybe other things that may help the child thrive.

Maybe, you could get your church or your co-workers involved, by donating your children’s old clothes and small toys. The children need unsung heroes and you could be that person for them, so take a moment to see how you can help these wonderful children and volunteers. You can also help spread the word, as well as find the Real Life Orphanage Home on Facebook. If you message them, someone will answer you, eventually when they get to the computer or phone that they use to communicate.

Just seeing the pictures of these kids will tug at your heart as it has done mine. Therefore, take a moment to share this blog or see how you can help make these special children’s life better. Thank you!

A Father’s Love

10428605_10152569392703700_7375031524527245160_n

This is so beautiful and whenever I seen it this morning on a friend’s Facebook post. All I could say was, “Wow!” I don’t know the story behind this family or how the child died. I can’t read the date of birth or date death for Matthew Stanford Robinson. I read that his father wanted his tombstone or headstone to depict that he wanted everyone to know that his son is, “free from his earthly burdens.”

That is such a beautiful sentiment to me, because we all face different problems, issues, trials, and tribulations in our life. However, if we reach out as this child is shown to be doing, maybe we can find a way through these situations that bring us down. It is heartbreaking that he lost his son at such a young age, but to know he is no longer in pain or bound to a wheelchair.

It just sets my heart on fire for God; because I know when my journey is over I won’t have to live in pain daily either. I can only say what an amazing father to do this for his beloved son and all should appreciate their lives as they are, because life could be worse. We all could be taking a dirt nap!
